She helped me put words and structure to things I would buried for years. I went to therapy thinking we would just ‘talk about my stress at work.’ Instead, I discovered how much old grief and unresolved experiences I have been carrying. Ishita never pushed me faster than I was ready to go, but she also didn’t let me run away when things got uncomfortable. What I appreciate most is how organised she is in her approach, we have clear goals, she checks in about what’s working and what isn’t, and she reminds me that progress is not always linear. I feel lighter, more present with my family, and more in control of my reactions rather than living on autopilot

I finally understand what’s happening in my own mind. I have struggled with mood swings and overthinking for years. I used to Google my symptoms and convince myself of the worst. Working with Ma’am, I realised how much misinformation I had picked up. She explained things clearly, what is actually a disorder, what is normal human emotion, and where I fit in all of this. She taught me coping skills that are realistic for my life as a student, not just theory. I still get overwhelmed at times, but I don’t feel lost anymore. I understand myself better and I’m kinder to myself than I have ever been

Therapy with her feels like a safe, reality-check space. I originally booked a session because I was burnt out and snapping at everyone. I was worried therapy would be either too soft or too formal. With Ms. Ishita, it’s neither. She is kind but very honest. She gently points out patterns I keep repeating, especially in work and relationships, without making me feel judged. Over time, I’ve learned how to slow down my thoughts, manage my stress in healthier ways, and actually switch off without feeling guilty. Our sessions are now the one hour a week where I can say everything exactly as it is and know it will stay there

She helped our child, and us as parents, feel less broken. Our son was struggling with concentration, meltdowns, and low confidence. School suggested an assessment, and we were terrified of the ‘label’ and what it might mean. From the first meeting, Dr Ishita explained every step calmly, never rushed us, and made sure our son felt safe, not ‘tested’. The assessment and feedback sessions were detailed but easy to understand. She didn’t just hand us a report; she sat with us, went through every section, and showed us practical strategies for home and school. We no longer feel like we’re failing as parents. Our son is happier, and we feel we have a clear plan instead of just guessing

For the first time, I don’t feel ‘too much’. I came to Ma’am after years of being told I am ‘too sensitive’ and to just move on from things. In our sessions, she never once made me feel dramatic or childish. Instead, she helped me understand my triggers, name my emotions, and set boundaries without guilt. She doesn’t just give random advice; she asks questions that make you think in a new way. I still have hard days, but I now have tools to manage my anxiety and not spiral for hours like before. Going to therapy with her has been one of the most stabilising choices I have made.
