Talal Al Kaissi's career spans across pivotal roles across the intersection of technology, space, business, and government. As the Executive Vice President & Chief Partnerships and Government Affairs Officer at Core42, as well as, Acting Group Chief Global Affairs Officer of G42, Talal has helped shape significant deals, including a transformative partnership with Microsoft. His strategic vision and leadership in these roles have been central to the organizations’ success in the global market.
At Core42 Talal oversees strategy, partnerships, investments, international expansion, government affairs, and the marketing & communications function. Talal also plays a leading role in G42’s global affairs function ensuring adequate representation and support for advancing relations with the UAE and foreign governments to help shape the companies’ commitments towards responsible AI deployment.
Prior to his present role, Talal’s impact at G42 included a two-year span as the CEO of G42 Cloud, where he established the company as a National Sovereign Cloud provider, fostering digital transformation across the public sector and regulated industries. Talal began his tenure at G42 in October of 2020 as VP of the Space Program & Special Projects and helped develop G42’s space offerings and Geospatial Analytics-as-a-Service while also taking on the role of the Group CEO Chief of Staff. Talal’s extensive experience also includes his role at the UAE Space Agency for two years, where he led the activation of the UAE Space Agency Investment Promotion Strategy.
Before returning to the UAE in 2018, Talal served for 9 years at the UAE Embassy in Washington DC as a Senior Advisor for Commercial Affairs within the UAE Trade & Commercial Office and Acting Space Attache, where he led high-level multinational trade discussions and played a key role in advancing the UAE’s interests in the US. His efforts were instrumental in attracting foreign direct investment into the UAE and strengthening bilateral relations. While at the Embassy, Talal also worked closely with leadership at UAE Space Agency on their establishment in 2014 and helped negotiate a Framework Agreement with NASA, building ties with US Government stakeholders, Academia, and Industry in support of the Emirates Mars Mission "Hope."
